Dr. Matéa is from northern Ontario and graduated from the University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College in 2021. She started her career in equine medicine, but transferred to companion animals when she joined our clinic in 2022. She is completing her training in veterinary acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, and looks forward to learning more about herbal medicine and osteopathic manipulation to provide holistic care to her patients. She loves teaching and learning, and would love to implement that passion in her work with people and their pets. She recently welcomed a "little" Bernadoodle named Leo into her family. Outside of work she enjoys reading, learning to play violin and exploring Alberta!
