About Joey

Joey has been called the “Emotional Support Person” here at the clinic. Joey holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Calgary and is a Registered Social Worker in Alberta. Joey was a dog mom for over 13 years and understands the needs of being an animal caregiver. She has also worked with rescue organizations to foster dogs in need and help get them ready for their “furever” homes. Joey’s experience includes working with mental health, substance misuse, volunteer programs, and has  experience in community development.  She is excited that all her passions for helping both humans and animals have come together in the role of Veterinary Social Worker with Edmonton Holistic Veterinary Clinic. She shares the values of the clinic and is available for the caregivers of the animal companions that visit.  “I am honoured to work at Edmonton Holistic Veterinary Clinic and support the journeys of the humans and animals that visit the clinic.”  Joey recently adopted Charlotte, who is often with her at the clinic.
